Hayle & District Bowling Club

Description: The club had been evicted from their previous home to make way for a housing development, but following a concerted fund raising effort by members, they relocated to Ellis Park and their new green was built in 2006. SCT was delighted to be able to help fund the new pavilion which is large enough to accommodate a growing membership and to enable short mat bowls to be played during the winter months. More info...

Breage Toddlers Kingdom

Description: The Trust funded the Toddlers Kingdom area of a new play park in Breage. Prior to this project there were no play facilities in the village.

Callington Bowling Club
SCT Funding: £18,000
Total Project Value: £44,500
Description: Callington Bowling Club had a growing membership but less able bodied players were restricted by the inadequate facilities at the club. SCT funds helped improve the disabled access and made the greens and clubhouse available to wheelchair users. The Club was thrilled when the Duke of Cornwall agreed to perform the opening ceremony.

Forder Community Hall

Description: The Community 'hut' was an important facility in the village of Forder, where there was no public meeting place. The dilapidated hut had no facilities and had come to the end of its useful life. SCT was delighted to support a project for a new 'hut' which has now been renamed 'community hall'. The facility is now a great community asset, housing a large space for functions complete with disabled access and toilet facilities.

Mary Newmans Cottage

Description: HLF provided a grant to re-instate an Elizabethan garden in the grounds of this museum in Saltash, the home of Frances Drake's wife. SCT provided the funds for works to the cottage which is an important educational resource in the area.

Wendron Football Club

Total Project Value: £783,000
Description: After securing an enormous grant from the Football Foundation, the club were keen to incorporate sustainable energy systems into their new clubhouse and changing room building. SCT funds helped fund a ground source heat pump, reducing energy costs for the club in the future.
